Lichfield District

Just because the name of the Fund contains just the word Lichfield doesn’t mean it’s only for the city.  Take a look at the map to see the area that the We Love Lichfield Fund covers:

Based in the heart of England Lichfield District covers the city of Lichfield plus the town of Burntwood and the villages from Clifton Campville in the east, down to Little Aston in the south and upto Colton and the Ridwares in the north west.  From the elegance of Lichfield Cathedral to the sombre yet uplifting setting of the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, the district of Lichfield is colourful, full of character and charm.  Atrractions include Cannock Chase and Drayton Manor theme park and for history buffs the district can boasts the birthplace of Dr Samuel Johnson, Erasamus Darwin and back in 2009 the Staffordshire Hoard put our village of Hammerwich on the world map as it was the setting for the largest find of Anglo-Saxon gold and silver.  Set in beautiful countryside, yet located on the major arterial road routes of the A38, A5 and M6 Toll and the West Coast Mainline and less than 30 minutes from Wolverhampton, Derby and Birmingham people from Lichfield are rightly proud of their patch.  And here are some snaps of this great place…
