Lichfield Civil Engineering Firm Donates To We Love Lichfield

Local firm Hutchings Civils & Hire Ltd has donated £2000 to place-based community fund
We Love Lichfield.

It is the second business so far in 2026 to donate to We Love Lichfield after Arthur Price with
Hutchings Director Elaine Hutchings BEM saying she made the donation having seen the positive
impact We Love Lichfield makes to voluntary groups across Lichfield, Burntwood and the
surrounding villages.

She said, “As a business Hutchings Civils & Hire Ltd supports our local community, but on a
personal level I feel it’s important as an individual to also contribute in any way possible. I feel
passionate about supporting where I live and work and want to make a difference wherever and
whenever I can.”

Alex Keller, We Love Lichfield panel advisor said, “A huge thanks to Elaine for this donation to We
Love Lichfield and for all the hard work she does for our community. All the money we raise goes
towards making a difference across our district. We all know money is tight at the moment but as
businesses start to make their CSR plans for 2026/27 I put out a plea to businesses across
Lichfield, Burntwood and the surrounding villages. Please support us in any way you can.”

We Love Lichfield is one of the Community Foundation’s place based funds.  It awards funding to a
wide range of projects operating across the district of Lichfield. The fund considers applications
from local groups in need twice a year. It raises money and then the returns are given away.
Companies and individuals make up the bulk of the donors to the fund, either through direct
donations, or by fundraising.
