Acorn Chips In With Golf Sponsorship

The We Love Lichfield Fund is delighted to announce that its fund-raising golf day in May is being sponsored by Burntwood car dealership Acorn Kia.

The popular event, which is taking place at Darnford Moors Golf Club on Friday May 1, attracts as many as 20 teams of players all keen to support the fund which biannually donates grants of up to £1,000 to good causes across the Lichfield district.

Acorn Kia, based in Cannock Road, Burntwood, is keen to support the We Love Lichfield Fund and has pledged £1,000 in sponsorship.

Matthew Sparkes, general sales manager at Acorn Kia, said: “Sponsoring the We Love Lichfield Fund golf day is a great opportunity for us to get involved in a local charitable cause. I did not realise the scope of the fund, the variety of good causes that it supports. It greatly benefits the district.”

The golf day is hosted by Tommy Coakley and his team at Darnford Moors. It consists of a round on the Academy Course and the 18 holes on The Moors. There are prizes for “nearest the pin” and “longest drive” together with a raffle and auction. It is a great fun event and spaces are still available for golfers who would like to play.

Entrance to this year’s We Love Lichfield Golf Day is £40 per player which includes food. And you don’t have to enter as a team of four. Individuals or pairs can enter and they will be made up into team on the day.
